The Art of Giving

Admit it, sometimes it’s the gift that counts. There are times when you want to select the absolutely perfect gift for that someone special, and there really is an art to it. Allow us to assist, with pages and pages of ideas, from unique jewelry and watches to tech products and ultimate dream cars.

The winter “Art of Giving” issue is a favorite among the staff of Celebrated Living. What’s not to love? We get to behold some amazing items for the gift guide (yes, several of those rings from page 87 were slipped onto my fingers, at least for a moment). Behind the scenes at a photo shoot is a fun, although busy, place to be. A nice perquisite is that you tend to bond with the people you’re collaborating with, as we did with our friends at John Parrish Photography.

I also find it rewarding that we focus part of the giving theme on meaningful, charitable giving of time and talents. See “Do-Good Getaways” on page 70 for a compelling story on philanthropic travel, a segment of travel that’s experiencing enormous growth.

One of the most exciting pages in the magazine is page 30, which announces our Readers’ Choice Platinum List Survey Sweepstakes. Once again, we look to you, our cherished travel-savvy readers, to identify the best hotels, golf courses, cruises, and spas on the planet. The results of your votes will be published in our summer issue, so visit www.celebratedliving.com and cast your vote by February 14, 2008. Enter and you might win a share of one million AAdvantage miles. Ten of you will win 50,000 miles each, while one lucky Grand Prize winner will receive 500,000 AAdvantage miles. And while you’re at www.celebratedliving.com, check out our beautifully enhanced site, loaded with content from the magazine, as well as extra, exclusive news we call “Furthermore.”

We all hope your winter season is one of the very best, filled with both giving and receiving.
