Cruising For Fitness
by Janet Thomas
Cruising, adventure, fitness, and health can — surprisingly — all go together, thanks to
Windstar Cruises, which operates a fleet of three luxury sailing yachts, each carrying just 148 to 312 guests, and explores hidden harbors and secluded coves around the world. The company has launched a multimillion-dollar fleet refurbishment plan, and Wind Surf is the first to benefit, debuting luxurious and pampering spa suites.
Each oceanview spa suite features a queen-size bed with fine linens, lush spa robes, a spacious sitting area, two bathrooms, a flat-screen TV with DVD player, and Bose SoundDock speakers. In addition to L’Occitane bath amenities, WindSpa products from O Spa London are offered in each suite, along with WindSpa treatments and the service of a private spa concierge.
Plus, Windstar’s watersports platform offers complimentary equipment like sailboats, kayaks, and snorkeling gear.
